New iPhone 16 Pro Max Launched with Latest Features | Know Everything About iPhone 16
Apple has officially announced the iPhone 16 Pro Max at its Glowtime event. Not only does it have a large 6.9-inch display, it’s also the largest iPhone Apple has ever released, with super-slim bezels to complement that height. Needless to say, it looks like a huge improvement over the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max wasn’t the only product Apple announced in Cupertino. We also got the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, two AirPods 4 variants, the Apple Watch 10, and the updated AirPods Max with a USB-C charging port.
Of course, the Pro Max model comes with a number of hardware upgrades that will tempt you to ditch your old phone. Some of these features are available on the non-Pro models, like the camera control button and AI-powered visual intelligence, but some are exclusive to the Pro. There’s a new 48MP ultra-wide camera, all-new AI-powered audio recording magic, the ability to record 4K video at 120fps with Dolby Vision HDR, and we can’t forget the new super-powerful A18 Pro chipset.

iPhone 16 & 16 Pro Max Reviews 2024

iPhone 16 Pro is available in 128GB, iPhone 16 Pro Max is available in 256GB. 256GB $100 Aswan 512GB $1299 and 1TB $1499 .iPhone 16 Pro Max for - $1399, 512GB, $1599 for 1TB.
New iPhone 16 Pro Max Latest Design & Display
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are larger than their predecessors, but not by much, because Apple has managed to shrink the bezels significantly. In fact, these are the thinnest bezels on an iPhone yet.
I put the 6.9-inch iPhone 16 Pro Max and the 6.7-inch iPhone 15 Pro Max side by side, and the new iPhone was only slightly larger. However, some people might prefer the 6.3-inch iPhone 16 Pro because it’s a happy medium between device size and screen size. And it’s not much heavier. We’re talking about a difference between 7.8 ounces for last year’s Pro Max and 8 ounces for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro weighs just over 7 ounces, which is just 0.4 ounces heavier than its predecessor.
Apple is also promising a more durable design with a new Ceramic Shield display, which the company says is twice as strong as the glass in any other phone. Equally important is a new internal architecture that improves heat dissipation and delivers 20% better performance. This is important as many users have complained about the iPhone 15 Pro series overheating.
The iPhone 16 Pro still has a titanium frame, but there’s a new Desert Titanium color that I think is a bit more peachy than gold. It complements the black, white, and natural titanium options.
he iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max’s OLED displays look good on their own with 2,000 nits of brightness, but that’s behind the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL (3,000 nits). You get the same 120Hz refresh rate that’s been a mainstay of Apple’s Pro phones for generations.
Overall, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max don’t look all that different, but I appreciate the thinner bezels and the promise of greater durability.
New iPhone 16 Pro Max Latest Camera Features
In terms of camera upgrades, Apple is making a fair number of improvements to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, starting with the 48MP Fusion main camera, which is designed to reduce shutter lag. At least based on sample images, these cameras seem capable of capturing sharp images of things like a flowing dress in motion in good resolution, but we’ll test that.
The big upgrade is the 48MP ultra-wide camera, which allows for better wide-angle shots as well as more impressive macro shots. I saw a close-up of a flower and was blown away by the level of detail.
Videographers will appreciate the ability to shoot 4K video at 120fps in slow motion. I saw a video of a guy on a motorcycle, and when everything slowed down, I saw his jacket blowing in the wind.
Audio capture is also getting an upgrade while recording video with improved studio-quality microphones. You can make your video sound like it was recorded in a studio, or have your audio tracks front and center with ambient noise in the background. Decide for yourself. Wind noise reduction is also improved.
iPhone 16 Pro Max Camera Control
The most unique design feature of the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max is the camera controls, a dedicated button recessed into the design on the right side of the phone. Don’t worry, there’s still an action button on the left if you want to customize shortcuts.
The haptic camera controls let you launch the camera with a firm press, and you can simply start taking photos with another press. I could then long press to start recording video.
But things get really interesting when you swipe along the edge of the button. You can swipe left and right to zoom in and out on photos. And with a double soft press, you can cycle through different settings like depth, exposure, and styles. It works, but I found the button a little finicky, and I had to swipe more than I’d like to move from one option to the next.
That said, I could see myself using the camera controls all the time to quickly launch the camera so I don’t miss any shots.
iPhone 16 Pro Max: A18 Pro Apple Intelligence
The A18 Pro chip in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max promises a significant speed boost, which makes sense since Apple wants these phones to be fully optimized for Apple Intelligence. The processor promises to be 15% faster while using 20% less power, and there’s a faster neural engine for machine learning tasks.
So what can you do with that extra speed? I summarized long notes in the Notes app in just a few seconds, and you can do things like create images in Image Playground and quickly summarize a long email thread. A new Siri is also on its way to handle all sorts of tasks and communicate more naturally, but it’s coming in October first in English.
Gamers will love that the A18 Pro’s beefed-up 6-core GPU promises better graphics. While playing Honor: Kings World, I appreciated the console-like visuals, including a stunning sunset and smooth animations
iPhone 16 Pro Max 2024 Battery & Charging
The iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max promise longer battery life than their predecessors. We’re talking 22 and 29 hours of video streaming, respectively, compared to 20 and 25 hours for the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.
Apple says that’s due to a variety of factors, including the efficiency of the A18 Pro chip and larger batteries. The Galaxy S24 Ultra and Google Pixel 9 Pro XL both impressed us in our battery testing, so we’ll have to see if the new iPhones make it onto our list of the best phones for battery life.
Unfortunately, Apple gives us the same 25W charging speed, which is unfortunate considering the best Android phones offer faster charging.
